School as been hectic

It has been hectic, but now that we are heading into SOL testing time.... hectic is not even close to it!


Weather is getting warmer and I can spend more time outside.  I also get to enlarge my chicken coop!  :-)

USDA Cost of Food at Home for December 2014

Below is what the USDA says we should be paying for food for my family each month:

$678.20 for the main four of us.  Which is way more that I currently spend each month.  Now if I add in my stepdaughter and her children, which we do provide the majority of meals for, then the cost would be $1,048.32.  I have NEVER spent that kind of money in groceries for a month.  This is mind blowing!

I have not disappeared....

I am just extremely busy!

I started teaching 3rd grade this year, while finishing up my Master's degree.

I have not been doing much of anything else!

I hope to post more as things die down a bit!

That was a fail....

Okay, so I fell short on my challenge, but I will still continue to post daily from today on.....

Friday was spent at Kings Dominion with the grandson.  He had a blast and we recovered. LOL
Saturday was spent recovery from said adventure and preparing for my intensive class this week at Liberty.

Sunday was spent also getting assignments done and driving down to Lynchburg.  I will admit that blogging was the last thing on my mind the last three days.

I will do better even though the posts will probably be short due to class and homework. :-)

Day 3--What was under YOUR car today?

This is who was under mine!  He chilled there for awhile and then went on his merry way.

They are on the small size, but history has taught me that if I do not pick them now, by tonight they are TOO big.  By the number of blossoms out there, I will be busy canning very soon!
