Latest FDA cost of food figures out

The "Thrifty" plan for my family would be $767.76.  WOW!  I don't come close to that each month.  I am always surprised when I see the latest figures.  It does help me appreciate how well I do keep our costs down, even when I am having a "bad" month with the budget. ;-)

I hope to stay home and NOT go anywhere. LOL

It's only 11:14 am and it is already 93 degrees outside.  It is gonna be a scorcher!

Menu time

Today:   Country style ribs, corn, and veggie
Mon:       Beef and Broccoli over rice
Tues:        Salad night
Wed:        Red beans and rice
Thurs:       Leftovers
Fri:         Baked Burritos
Sat:        ??? Not sure yet.

Busy

Garden is doing very nicely.

DH enjoyed some peppers and onions from it with dinner tonight.  I also have some green tomatoes on the vines and am waiting impatiently patiently for them to turn. LOL

Oh well

So much for posting daily. I will try and finish the month with daily postings. Life happens, but since it is summer I should have more to post about.
